Good tip for not splitting the tank is, to remove the screws and replace them with small pull ties.

It gives the tank a better chance if knocked.

    As a graduate of the Riggwelter School of Trials my 03 SY250 spends much of the time, while practicing or riding a trials, upside down. I have not yet damaged the tank.
