June 12, 200719 yr Details below are my personal step-by-step guide on my second attempt, which took about 10minutes. I'm surprised you did it that quick Anyone do anything different? Take the jubilee clip off the airbox rubber and spray a little WD40 inside it. After the fuel pipe and throttle slide have been connected, fit the carb into the reed block rubber and tighten the jubilee clip. Push the airbox rubber back and fit it around the exhaust side of the carb (you should be on the right hand side of the bike) Find a thin/slim/bendy/blunt knife and coax the rubber all the way around the carb whilst jiggling the carb up/down and towards the exhaust. Once on, (30 seconds max) undo the large jubilee clip completely and feed it over the top and around the rubber hose, simply tighten up and job done. Spend the other 9 minutes sitting back with a smug grin on yer face
June 12, 200719 yr Spud, want to save yourself 9 minutes 55 seconds mate? .... .... .... Turn the boot the other way around so the air box end is now the carb end, take the reed block spacer out forever (gives slightly sharper pickup on low revs) and it slides in, in about 5 seconds, no tools needed
