HAS ANYBODY GOT ANY IDEAS HOW TO REMOVE BURNT ON PLASTIC FROM AN EXHAUST PIPE. WHEN I SAY PLASTIC I MEAN THE REMAINS OF MY RIDING PANTS

Hi,

The only thing I could find to remove my son's trouswer leg from my Gas Gas exhaust was wire wool.

It takes a while, but doesn't seem to damage the chrome plating.

I also tried t cut and scotch brite without sucess.

As Brucey said try wire wool, I use 00 grade to get the worst marks off then 0000 to finish and smooth out any marks/scratches. You might see very tiny marks from the wool but if the whole header is cleaned like this it comes up real nice. Best cleaner I have found so far is Peek far better than Autosol and can be used to clean/polish all sorts of things,can even get the most stuburn marks off the Legends bike

thanks for the tips.... will try today. i have also read that oven cleaner works well. maybee i will try both and get back with results.
