Hi

My mate has a Montesa Honda MH200 (circa 84-85) and the gearbox is noisy and difficult to get into gear. We wanted to drain the oil and refill but don't know how much oil it should have.

I assume it uses light oil like most trials/moto-x bikes?

Cheers

I had an '81 version of that bike. It had an awful gearbox...very fragile, and not all that well-working when not broken.

Good luck!

Unfortunately some bikes get big numb owners with sledge hammer left feet, when you grew up with 70's Monts you learnt how to caress them into gear.

:D

My skidplate-protected transmission broke to bits when I cased it on a rock...without a whole lot of force.
