Drained the coolent the other day. and noticed that if I was to hold the impeller, and push the motor over, the impeller would spin on the shaft. it did have some resistance, but not as much as I would have imagined. (I figured it would have been fixed myself).... Is this normal?

The impellor is threaded onto the shaft, it will unthread if spun the correct way and strip the threads out if forced the other way. If the threads are stripped out, it is a good idea to change the shaft and seal as a set (the shaft gets grooved).

Thank you sir... Kind of figured somthing wasnt right.... Parts Ordered...

Note that the impellar spins on the shaft counter clock wise as these are left hand threads. I have made the mistake of trying to loosen the impellar while acutally tightening it.
