Toe Box Room In Trials Boots

Featured Replies

I currently wear Alpine stars size 42

Problem- I have a wide foot, high instep, and large BIG TOES

The Stars are a tight fit, even after 3 years, but I swim in the next size up

I have to wear the thinnist socks I can find , BUT still the TOE room is a problem if there is a bit of section walking involved[

I cant help but notice that all of the trials boots look alike, as though designed by the same Italian fashion guru

Which trials boots have the biggest TOE BOX with the most TOE ROOM ?

Can anyone comment please

My Diadora's were much wider than my Gaerne's are.

I always go for the bigger ones and adjust with extra socks and Gortex socks.

My hebo's seem ok in the toe box - but shy in the calf room dept. I think you really need to try several brands and see for yourself about the best fit.

I can't comment on trials boots but I used to get a load of problems with my walking boots, stubbing big toes on long downhill stretches.

Don't know what it's like over your side of the world, but here in the UK there are quite a few walking boot shops that will now adapt/stretch your boots if they're tight on a given spot.

Apparently a lot of walking boots have a plastic box to form the toe cap and a plastic cup for the heel. They boil the boot up to soften the plastic and then stretch the offending spot out until it's sorted. Don

It sounds like you and I have the same kinda foot. I have a pair of Novagars and while not the best made boot, they do fit very well
