I need to look at website building software, I want to get away from the pre built stuff.

Any suggestions?

I'd like something that integrates well with Corel if possible.

How about free NVU HTML EDITOR

It's a, "What you see is what you get editor" WYSIWYG

Corel is a drawing program used for my laser engraver.

It seems to have the ability to go directly to HTML.

FTP seems to be my real problem.

there are various free or shareware ftp programs out there. if you have all the data for your website you *should* just be able to upload with ease, i've been using WS_FTP for about 8 years.
