November 19, 200817 yr As the title suggest,my scorpa's air box has lost it's thread on one of the brass nuts.So apart from boring out to M6, is there any way of getting the nut out and replacing with new one?
November 19, 200817 yr I removed brass insert on one of mine and epoxy new one in its place.Came out pretty decent.JR
November 20, 200817 yr carefully drill it out to 5mm then use a 6mm tap (use some light oil on the tap when you are cutting the thread). Be careful to clean out any swarf which drops into the air box.
November 23, 200817 yr Author Thanks for replys,thought the title would grab your attention. All drilled out and working fine,was not to sure on taking insert out, are these inserts available off the shelve?
