Can anyone help, im restoring a 1976 TY175 and would like to know if anybody could tell me what colour shade of white the tank/exaust guard etc is as the plastics are original and are an off white almost ivory/cream in colour.

I had a '77 model in the day and from memory the exhaust guard was a brilliant white, to match the white of the tank. Mudguards and the plastic side cover were also pure white, I suspect those on your bike have yellowed with the effects of 32 years worth of sunlight. You could try a scrub with Jif using a fairly stiff brush, this will lift the dirt out of the scratches but probably won't restore things to a pristine white. Still, nothing wrong with an old warior showing the patina of age, is there?

It's called Yamaha Clean White and has a bit of yellow/ivory to it, so no the same as brilliant white

Try RS Paints in Barnsley - who will do an exact match in either a tin/aerosol or pain stick

Hi I've just finished restoring a CR80 for my son and the plastics were a bit shabby, but came up looking good with Paint Shop panel wipes. I bought a tub off e-bay for 6 Quid they also get the dirt out of light scratches.

Any idea what the silver is for the frame? Or a near match.

Hi Scott, its silver smooth Hammerite, I did post this some time ago and had the P taken, but its what I have always used and matches just fine, the best thing is if you want to give your bike a quick touch up you dont need to prime it, and the paint covers very well.

I have a majesty 200 just wondering if anyone knows the code for the yellow it was finished in?
