Is it a case of where ever the wheel is out of line, Loosening off the opposite side and tightening the side you want to pull it in too? Has any body done this and give me instructions? dave dix Posted January 31, 2009 Report Share Posted January 31, 2009 Yes thats the theory and is easily done as long as the rim isn't physically dented. You must let the air out of the tyre first and if its a small buckle you may be able to straighten it on the bike. The inner spokes that L shape towards the hub centre control the ovality of the wheel and the outer spokes with L shape outwards do the trueing of the rim Dave Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
b40rt Posted January 31, 2009 Report Share Posted January 31, 2009 Remember when your truing the wheel that as well as the side to side run out, the up and down run out. Adjust the spokes by small amounts. Tap them with a spanner or similar to see if they ring, if they don't its a sure sign they're slack.
