February 20, 200917 yr Hello everyone, new to this forum. Havnt been on a trials bike for over 20yrs. Any advise on what cheap starter bike to go for. Seen this for sale a 350 Gas Gas, can anyone give any advise on it. Model/age/good/bad etc What are the late 80s mono TYs like? Anyone know of any trials areas near Wigan/northwest to practice?
February 20, 200917 yr Not the ideal beginners bike. Find something 250cc max. Any make will do. Old ty is an excellent starter bike.

I agree, a mate of mine bought a 350 Contact as a first bike some years ago and it nearly did for him! He's still got the scars to prove it! You won't go far wrong with a tidy TYmono, although it's best to try and get a disc brake one if you can.
