March 7, 200917 yr The standard for this model would be 13T front and 53T rear. For modern trials and the tighter turns followed by bigger steps I would use a 12T front sprocket. The 11T can be used but it is just a little too low geared in first. If you are changing sprockets, unless they are in very good condition change them ALL and fit a new chain and tensioner block. March 13, 200917 yr Which model TY250 is it that uses a 53T rear sprocket? I thought it was 42T then drop the front to 11T or 10T depending on how slow you need to go.

If you use 428 chain (which is what came standard on all TY250 twinshocks), the standard rear is 53 teeth. tt5th, I suspect you are talking about sprockets that use 520 chain, which of course have less teeth for the same diameter than sprockets for 428 chain.
