Tbh on mine once the points was set up correctly i never had a problem with them, the engine is just weak on low end throttle range, if this electronic ignition can race the engine up like the fantic engine does i can see the 242 becoming abit more popular.

Until the points wear.

I meant with this new setup, once set, its set for life, as it has no touching parts to wear out, only a failure of a component would require anything being changed.

Not 100% sure what the forks are from on this bike but they don't look like original fitment on a 242.

Update on the CDI install:

bike has been running great, only one fault, pickup failed, called Julian and was sent a replacement without any problems, fitted and no issues since..

Also have fitted a new Mikuni card from in motion, running even better now.....

You wouldn't have a copy of the fitting instructions for the rmlightening  ignition in English by any chance?
