Not sure if that "against the course" rule is written into our NATC rules, yet I have witnessed some extradnoty attempts at saving to three! Mostly still left with a less than desireable line and a lot of work to get there! Some worked , some did not! :D

The majority of discussions on here following the trial seem to have been relating to the crashes rather than any specific rides by individuals. I agree 100% that some of the mental stuff isnt that good to watch.

I must be turning into an old git, but having watched trials for over 30 years I find the modern world rounds very samey.

- Balance - line up - hop half a tyre right - full bore splatter up a rock - bounce round - drop off rock - repeat. The first world round I went to was at Bainbridge in circa 1982 where it was still no-stop so I've seen it evelove over time - Butser, IOM, Hawkstone. I thought Jarvis made the very best of a small location (which made for easy viewing), but the bigger natural venues have it for me.

The SSDT is better to watch partly because there's a flow to it with riders hanging on whilst having to keep it going. The top guys still hop and flick, but on the go. Full no stop for WTC??? I'll get me coat. :D

From watching at Nord Vue it seems a lot of the marks lost by the WTC class other than Bou and Raga were on fiddly little turns, not the full on stuff. There's hope for me yet - I lose a lot of marks on the fiddly little turns.
