I have a 247 cota. does anybody know a part number for the main crank shaft bearings, and if they are a specific to Montesa, or can be ordered through a bearing company ?

part no 0094.6205/C3 for each side....... the 0094 is the montesa general part no for bearings

the 6205/C3 is the size you should be able to get these from brt bearings you should find these nos stamped on the side of the bearings

or if you really want to be sure ...take the bearings to your local brt web site http://www.brt-bearings.com

I have just finished a complete re-build on a 247, get some good quality made bearings from SKF or another good quality company, cheap bearings are fine for a wheel where you can easily replace but for mains always use the best and they must be C3 bearings as they allow for heat expansion
