January 17, 201016 yr Author I have just had a look at the older threads - 2006/7 using the search bar (I always forget about the search bar) and it seems the subject of oil levels has been covered. The results though are inconclusive, some say fill to the level indicator, others say put in the right amount, even if it spews out of the level indicator - as too much oil wont have a detremental effect....... So, I filled it up with the right amount ( or 650ml ) and then removed the level plug and let it drain. I also had the bike leaning slightly away from the level plug side so it would retain a bit more oil than if it was upright. Still managed drain off about 150ml of oil......So the oil level is now correct, or 150ml low. This all seems to be a bit hit and miss if you ask me. I think another '' mither Nigel Birkett '' session is on the cards. I've asked him questions before and he has always been very helpful, but I don't want to annoy him !
February 13, 201016 yr Hello its not like a car you dont need to take the indacator out ! Just put the bike level and look to see if the oil is in the window if it is there is plenty of oil if its not or only half way top it up a bit Edited February 13, 201016 yr by matt_urban
