240 Clutch Adjustment

Ive just bought some new domino clutch and brake assemblies and new cables to go with them but im having a few problems...

Brake cable is too long but ive overcome this by putting in an extra adjuster as a spacer but also the clutch cable is too short. I thought to myself no problem ill just adjust the clutch as its only JUST too short but when I took the cover off the adjuster I was expecting to find an adjuster screw and a lock nut but all I found was the screw. Ive HOPEFULLY attached a couple of pics to help explain but is this set up correct or have I missed something ?

Hi there

Had the same problem with my front brake cable being too long , ended up using a brake- clutch lever adjuster to take up the slack , see photo , also a photo of the clutch adjuster with locking nut , think its a M8 nut.

Cheers keith :rotfl::)

Thanks Hewson. That was very helpful.

Someone had obviously butchered mine but ive machined up a little insert to return it to pretty close to standard. Thanks also to Bill Pye for his advice. Ill certainly be using him for parts in the future.

If anyone happens to have an inspection plate (the bit you unscrew to make adjustments) spare, id be interested
