dan williams Posted June 27, 2010 Report Share Posted June 27, 2010 It can't mechanically shift into reverse. What can happen is the engine can run in reverse if the timing is set too aggressive. Two stroke motors don't know the direction they are running except for ignition timing. If the timing is close to TDC (top dead center) the engine will happily run backwards.
