Montesa Cota 247 Petrol Tap

Hi there hope someone can help

I've just bought a tank seat unit for my 1973 Cota 247 that has the original fibreglass tank and not the separate aluminium tank. I got it to replace a leaking Ali tank and cover. Unfortunately, the 12mm petrol tap from the ali tank does not fit the fibreglass tank. The tap boss on the fibreglass tank appears to have a 16mm metric thread on it. Unfortunately, the tank came without a petrol tap and none of the usual firms can supply a 16mm petrol tap.

Any ideas on what to do please?

Thanks, but that's a female nut that screws onto an M16 thread, I need a M16 male thread one that screws in. Unless I can screw an M16 threaded tube into the boss on the tank and then fit that tap to it?

I've tried Sandiford and Bultacouk/Inmotion with no luck.
