Hard chrome is a strange thing.

If you have your forks chromed, they may ask you how many thousandths of an inch you want, and it's expensive, as you noticed.

I used some Honda VT ? 125 legs on my montesa 200 35mm dia but a bit longer so I had to cut to length then bore out 100mm in from the bottom and turn a circlip groove. I am lucky as I could do it myself but it all depends what the Fantic forks are like.
