TY250 Twinshock tanks

Featured Replies

Just a quick question. Did all TY 250 twinshocks come with an alloy tank?

I have been told that most came with steel tanks but i have just bought four TY250's, long story LOL, and they all have alloy tanks fitted.

Just wondered if this was normal ?

I think they had both, others may know more . Are the 4 ty's destined to be "Mateys"

Two of mine are alloy - they are 1977 models I think, the other one I wobble around on has a Miller tank/seat unit.Wasnt it just the 80,125 and 175 that had steel tanks ? My kids 80 is steel and the 175 tank off my ty/xt project was steel.

The first Model in 1974(Model 434)in Yellow/White came with a steel tank, all others till the production ends came with alloy tanks.
