March 9, 200521 yr Touched on this one before. I don't think you need a speedo for an MOT. Of course you have to convince your tester of that and he may get arsy if you do, so otherwise nip in to halfords. You can pick cycle speedos up for a few quid normally. Even the wireless ones aren't too much. Might have to dremel the fitting out a bit to fit the spokes, mut not too much hassle. Previous thread
March 10, 200521 yr Speedo is not an MOT requirement. I believe it is a legal requirement to ride on the road though?

March 10, 200521 yr Theres some real confusion over this, I rang numerous different trials companys etc and mainly got that you don't need a speedo but there was still 2 out of the 6 that said you did. MOT's are pretty important, so I think that the real answer should be known so there is more clarity of what you need. Lloyd
