has anybody else noticed that very slight rattle on 250 evos particulary obvious at cold or on overun it does seem to change tone slightly when depressing clutch,its evident on both my 2010 and 2011 bikes but has never caused a problem?

just done a bit of research on google and it seems to point toward the clutch basket???

Long story made short, clutches and gears tend to rattle a bit, specially at idle and not under load, this is normal. All has to do with normal mechanical clearances and engine pulsations. Yes, may change with clutch application as load and rotating components change a bit. May also increase with heat and thinning of gearbox oil. :thumbup:

The gears in a trials bike are cut in a way for strength not for noise like in a modern car, hence the noise issue. Me old Gasser 07 rattled like a hell on the clutch but had no wear, just the design.
