September 22, 201114 yr Hello afther 2 years off 2T riding i bought recent the EVO 300 4T. I'm concerned for the location of the ignition box / CDI. The box is located verry low down on side of the engine. I don't think this is a great place for riding in the water, mud,... Does anyone relocated the box?? I would like to know more about it. September 23, 201114 yr A couple of years ago some guys put the unit behind their Number board Best place and easy to do is re locate it just above the top of the clutch side casing - on a level with the carb. You can use the same mounting bracket too. This reminds me..... I need to move mine too !

September 30, 201114 yr i did this too all you need to do is mount at side of carb no need for cable extention just turn mount box round it works, stop the water ingress/backfireing.doddle 2mins
