What colour was the original frame,and what is the best way to remove powercoating from the casings, fork legs and wheel hubs. Anybody done this before? 51mon Posted November 20, 2011 Report Share Posted November 20, 2011 Hi Mike, Have just had the paint chemically removed from the engine casings, barrel and head of the Fantic I'm restoring. It was done by Ribble technology (www.paint-strip.co.uk) and has come out really well. The metal doesn't get affected at all and I'm planning on having the frame/swing arm done this week too. No number that I could find. The metallic is supper fine I'm pretty sure it's a enamel paint. the closest paint I found so far is Nissan 2009-11 (K27) or Ford 6663 I need to take my frame to a paint supplier that is capable of scanning a small area.
