axulsuv
Well hello all!! I just bought a 83 240w/ a spare parts bike. I was told the bike had ign. problems and it finaly died! I replaced the coil/trigger plate behind the flywheel and rewired the whole thing.(lots of solder and heatshrink!)... Anyway I was actualy riding her for real for the first time,I hadn't been on a trials bike in close to 28 years, and was impressed with it. As I turned back to my shop and reached for the kill switch I added, it died... no spark! So I pulled the seat&tank off to inspect and found the coil leaking oil So to make a long story short... Does anyone know where I can get ignition parts for this old girl????? or how to update what is here? I hate to write it off cause the bike is actually pretty cherry and I want to get back into competion again!(I had a factory ride in the late 70's !) I miss it! thanks for any response... ps. single dad w/ 3 kids so I really can't afford a new cota; but I am a master mech. w/ fab abilities at my disposal, so I can make anything work with info and parts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks , Glenn
martinm
Hi I guess its a Dansi HT coil you have (aluminium cylinder type)....if so take a look on ebay at item no 7969209002. This is the later type HT coil which was fitted to most of the Fantics from about 1985 onwards, fitting one of these should sort your problem.
