I wouldn't be riding today if it weren't for protective gear. Did that when I was young and dumb :(

I should add , My son's life was saved by wearing gear , my nephew was killed for the lack of. He always wore it , but after removing it tried a hill climb one more time , and was killed for lack of helmet.

So I'm a diehard wear your gear guy.
