The rear has 2 different bearings, the 6004 is thicker but be carefull the thin 6905 bearing was also in a thin bush which came out as I drifted the bearing out, make sure you dont throw the bush away with the old bearing and refit the bush before you fit the new bearing.

The front wheel bearing change is really easy, knock the inner sleeve between the bearings down then drift the bearings out, to refit I think it's a 32mm socket is the right diameter too knock the bearings in with. Some people flick the bearing covers out and repack the bearing with grease I've tried this but the bearings never lasted any longer so I don't think its worth the hassle. Front bearings can be changed easily within 1/2.

Hope this helps.

Thinking about it I reckon my rear hub was a Friday afternoon one ! it has a sleeve because if was machined over size and has had a repair done on it !

sounds simple enough, ive always packed the new bearings with grease

when ive done the back ones, and i also do it everytime i have the wheel

out, but never changed the front ones. and i havent changed any on the

ossa. order my new 6905 from ak, i had some 6004 in stock as there the

same as most bikes
