as title its an 2011 seems to get very hot ,popping low power smoking after first lap then ran ok its been going on for some time but cant get to bottom of it fan works, usually when cooled down for couple mins it runs ok again ,also another one on trial today with same symptoms

I wasted a precious year of my trials life trying to make one of these work.... normally I keep my mouth shut if I.ve nothing good to say but ......best suggestion is to get rid of it.

I doubt it would be a sheared key on the flywheel as it fixes itself. I would think most likely culprit an ignition coil, next a CDI unit.(providing plug ok)

Call Splatshop to send you some parts to swap, you can return what you do not need. Easy peasy!

Never mind Chewy, he spent six months trying to make a tire too big stay on the rim!

Might also try closing the plug gap down to about .015 just to see if it makes a change, as that would also indicate a weak coil.
