December 8, 201213 yr Advice please.... Can the mains on a Rev 3 be changed without splitting the whole engine?? My old mans bike has started rumbling and on bikes he's had in the past he's been able to change them with splitting the engine, neither of us has done them on a Beta, any advice welcome!!
December 8, 201213 yr no, its a case split i'm afraid. that being said its easy, it takes about 2.5 hours to split the motor and replace mains and seals. to blow the budget stick a piston and rings in at the same time. Enjoy !
December 12, 201213 yr If the main bearings are worn so is the big end rod bearing. May as well change it while you have the cases split.
