January 18, 201313 yr anybody know of any friction plates that have tangs that actyally fit properly in slots in clutch basket. unlike std ones which appear to have nearly 1mm clearance causing the rattle at tickover, which goes once clutch is lifted.spoiling what is otherwise a brilliant bike.
January 18, 201313 yr they are designed to be like that if they were a really neat fit they would bind and also cause rapid wear of the basket so just ignore the rattle as they all do it
January 20, 201313 yr Not the clutch rattling. The primary gears rattle with the engine pulses, when you pull the clutch, this relieves some load, and rattle. They can rattle more using ATF, as it is thinner oil. Edited January 20, 201313 yr by copemech
