I have just recently bought a rear brake calliper off ebay, and in a stroke of luck (hopefully) the same guy has an engine from a 2001 bike.

Is the 2001 engine a nice reliable, strong engine or are they a bag of crap, my bike is a 97 contact 270 but it has a repair to the bottom casing around the clutch, the previous owner tried to repair it with liquid weld but it still leaks trans oil out. What sort of price will be a fair one for a built running engine?
