...what Jools said...

Improvement on the bottom is not major, but the top end is a big difference. It's like adding 1500 rpm on the top. Also some messing about to get it to fit, as Jools mentioned. Is it worth it? Depends on your mechanical abilities and expendable cash. Is it a must have? NO (unless maybe your a Championship level rider).

It is also worth noting that the Keihin is a finer metering carb (for lack of a better description), and is much more sensitive to jetting and air screw settings. The DelOrto is pretty much a set and run kind of deal.

Yeah, they do make it out to be a 'bolt on' accessory - but in reality, it does require a bit of arsing 'round to fit it.

Only bit of advice i can give you is; ask as many questions as you can & if your gonna do it, do it properly!! dont bodge it or try and do it on the cheap because you will pull yer face when it goes wrong! :D

I'd imagine on the TXT that you will NOT need to buy a new reed block because the bellmouth is quite large on them.

Most people who use them are happy with them and never looked back!!

Also if you change bikes to something else (2 stroke) you can fit the carb on to other bikes. People put them on beta's!
