Does any one know if the digital ignition has a built in rev limiter?

Whilst the auto shutdown feature is useful when the bike is on its side, six seconds jammed flat out is a long time!

I recently parked mine upside down at the top of a section whilst I took a trip down to the creek at the bottom that took a lot longer than 6 seconds and it didn't try to shut down at all. ( But does if laid on its side).

The bank angle sensor allocated next to the rear brake fluid reservoir, my baby stalls in about 3 seconds when I have side crash in either way, I reduce the rpm at about 950.

Good to put one to my cota 315R '04.

Thanks Bulldog, understand bank angle sensor but still interested to find out if there is a revlimiter built into ignition to prevent engine damage.

Just hold it flat out and see if the limiter cuts in. I would doubt if it does.
