I have a Beta 250 '2008' I am having no spark at this time. I have changed the cdi unit and also put a brand new spark plug in. I have taken the flywheel weight off and had a quick look at the stator and it looks fine. I need to take it off to have a look behind it to see if its okay. Could anyone give me any advice on what it could be. Thanks.

Source coil on stator is most likely problem.

Take off the flywheel and look for the coil with the finer windings.

It resistance should (from memory) be about 250 Ohms. Check Bradford Ignitions website - they may give more accurate figures.

Better method is to connect a voltmeter to this coils wires near CDI and then spin flywheel with a drill (plug out and earthed). Should see 25 to 30 volts AC at 500 RPM
