Hello From Upstate

Hey Guys,

When you say you're from New York everyone automatically thinks NYC. Assure you my home is not in a city of any type. Since most of the state is rolling farm land, mountains and lakes I'm lucky to land right in the best part.

Pretty new to trials but not to bikes and motorsports in general. I've raced motocross back in the day and did lots of cow trailing in my youth. I also tipped cones over in autocross, rallycross and even sat in the meat seat of rally cars. In my 40s raced BMX and actually got 2nd in the state (by showing up to events) -was in great shape then.

An old riding buddy donated the current toy: an early 90s Beta and absolutely having a blast. I've checked out one trial event and gotten quite a bit of guidance (and boots) from Mike Komer at the Tryals Shop in Locke NY. Hope to meet more trial people this coming year and it looks like entering a trial is a distinct possibility.

My secret ninja trials training ground is 50 acres of logging roads, woods, gullys and old weed covered bmx trails. If anyone is in the area I'd love to share my spot. Although currently banned from the woods and gullys part due to hunting season.
