I have decided its time for a new bike.now if I trade my bike in it leaves a balance of £3300 on the new beta.which is the budget I have and the bike I want.but for some reason I am still unsure of buying a brand new bike.why?i do not know.has anyone bought brand new and thought never again?

Second hand every time, to big of a hit on a new bike, wheel it out the shop and you have lost a grand, just look at the number of bikes for sale at 3 and 4 months old, dropping up to £1500, i would say have a look around before you part with your cash.

Maybe look for a second hand one that has been maintained for competitions? Bikes depreciate a lot, you could probably get one a couple of years old for a lot less than a new bike.

Plus new bikes off the shelf seem to need modifications any ways, at least that's the impression I get on these forums
