if ur a newcomer i would suggest putting tetroseal down the frame from head stock to footpegs. this will protect against quite a few nasty nocks and scrathes. fork protectors may be advisible especially the skinz as these protect higher up the fork legs.

all of these techniques are good, and be sure to technosel the whole thing including swingarms (you can quite easilly wear off the gold paint on these with your boots) however, a slightly more simple way is to either go to your local bike dealer, if they supply it, and buy some "muck off". great stuff, just get the bulk of the mess off it, spray the bike with "muck off", leave it for 5 mins, then spray it off aiding with a brush.

just a thought though, you said you are a novice, WHY DID YOU GET A RAGA REP???

Jet wash your wheels, engine etc. then use a bucket and sponge on the plastics coz jet washers can rip off stickers and lacquer. After washing, use duck oil on the wheels, frame and any chrome bits. do all this as soon as you get home from riding. Your Gasser will GLEEM
