July 30, 201610 yr I am thinking of selling my cota 247 and don't know what to ask. It has had a full engine rebuild with new bearings, piston and rebore. Also has had rear wheel rebuild and new tyres. New Amal carb. It is road registered and MOTD. Looks a bit tatty but mechanically Excellant. What is it worth Thanks
July 30, 201610 yr A 247 isn't a popular bike in the twinshock class, although I ride one myself, as it's probably seen as a bit outdated when stacked against Fantics and Majestys. As such a good one, I'd say, should be able to fetch £1200/1300 and I'd pitch it at £1500/1600 for starters, after spending a couple of hours smartening it up a bit. I've noticed restored ones failing to make that money recently. That said, twinshocks are a rising market and you could get lucky...
July 30, 201610 yr Author Sold this 2 years back for £1500. Wow thats really nice. Was hoping for between 1500 and 2K. Spent over 800 on engine rebuild.Maybe I will keep it.
