76 OSSA MAR Frame Colour

Featured Replies

Can any body tell me if the 76 OSSA MAR was available with a black frame? I am starting the restoration on one and it is painted black. All the pictures I have seen seem to show a silver frame.

Either way can you advise the paint type/ colour?

I'm also after speedo and lights.

As far as I know all MAR models had a silver frame, the first TR77 had a black frame which changed to green when the Verde (green) model was introduced. Are the upper shock mounts level with the lower side panel screws on your frame, on the TR77 they are near the top screw.

As above replies, silver. The old Ford Silver Fox colour used in late 60s early 70s is a very good match as they weren't a bright silver colour. They don't look good they are done bright silver

Thanks for the replies and thanks to Woody for identifying a paint.

Yes the upper shock mounts are level with the lower side panel screws on my frame.

Must be a late MAR then which would have been silver.
