I’m looking for help please. Our 2001 Txt 50 boy needs new electrics. The original stator and rotor are missing. It’s been at the back of the shed for at least 12 years and I can not remember what happened to them. The electrics had packed up at that time. The bike has strong family history and would love to get it going again. Is there an alternative to the original setup? Any help with this would be gratefully received.

You may be able to get something made up from Electrex World Ltd. in Oxfordshire. Bye, Peter B.

Yesterday I picked up what I think is a 2005 GG EC Boy which is the enduro version of the TXT. I was planning on making it an electric bike so I don't need the motor. The seller said it has spark and I will check today.

Thank you for your reply. I’m not sure if the ignition system will fit the earlier motor. Perhaps someone on here might know  the answer. If it does that would be perfect.

hi king arthur,, i've bought a gas gas txt 50 for my grandson and am finding it virtually impossible to get parts or information ,,,i have the same ignition problem as yourself ,,,the bike will not start at all even with a battery drill on the rotor ,,,i do have a small spark but i see that other people have managed to find alternative parts that work ok ..if you find out anything ..could you share the info on here pleas ...many thanks ray ,,,also ive found that the rear brake master cylinder is a brembo unit ,,,and its still used on the big ducati bikes ,,its an identical part ,,and much cheaper than a gas gas replica part,
