January 16, 20206 yr Get the 80 assuming the big wheel senior is the right size. Hydraulic clutch and 6 speed. Either great to learn to ride on but the 80 Will be the better bike for progressing into trials. Also the big wheel 80 has better suspension and as the engine has changed very little parts aren’t an issue. Very capable bike and although 80 has more power than the 50 it’s not massive difference and geared so low it’s easy to ride.
January 16, 20206 yr Author The 80 was snapped up immediately, so the choice has been made for me. I have also found that most kids have no problem with a bike that is too small...even WAY too small. They like the feeling of being able to toss it around. All my sons and their friends would always gravitate toward the smallest bicycle in the pile. I like the idea ofmthe nsmaller bike.
