Hi all

Have a 2008 250 2t. Looks like pistons been scraping as when I got it the fan had been bodged and has seized up so guess it's been cooked a few times.  

 

After a barrel and piston before I get it shipped off for hopefully a rebuild. 

Does the later barrel and piston fit at all ?? It looks pretty damn close 

I see the exhaust bolts are offset on one I've been looking at and mine are straight up n down which would actually make it easier to fit the pipe

I would just send it to a replating company. It is done all the time in the MX and Enduro world. Just send the cylinder and a new piston to them and they will send it back like new.

Trying to remember if it was 09 that the cases changed with the waterways in a different place but basically what I'm saying is that the later cylinders probably don't fit

I had my Jarvis cylinder replated last year, definitely the way to go as you know everything is perfect unlike if you buy secondhand
