Fitted a electronic ignition as instructuons say.

Now ty will only start by putting a drip of petrol down bore.

Good spark,  new petrol, clean carb, reeds look ok.

Timing is 2-3mm measured with strobe.

Once running rev/ rides fine. Kicks back up ok. Only tried it for 10mins running

 

Any ideas before i put old ignition on to prove a point,   or is 200 majesty timed diffent to a ty175

It should start easily at 2-3mm BTDC.

Did you do anything else at the same time as fitting the new ignition?

No just changed stator plate and fitted kill switch cdi etc that comes with it..

Are you trying to start it with the Carby choke on?
Will it start once it has been started and warmed up?

I would also check the plug lead is screwed in properly, if that was changed with the electronic ignition.
