April 14Apr 14 I would like to give a Scorpa TY125 trials a try but they are very difficult to find in the US. Is it easy to convert the long ride version? There are a few of them. What are the differences?
April 14Apr 14 McMan, just in case you’re interested I found this Long Ride for you. It’s in Mt. Hood, Oregon but the price is fantastic. I live in Oregon but bought my bike from this site from a dealer in Georgia and had it shipped for $300. They routinely have some very good prices on bikes on the website. I got my 2023 Gasgas TXT 250, brand new, for $4500. I’m sure you want the standard version but I thought you might want to consider this one. April 14Apr 14 I’m guessing here because I haven’t seen either one in real life but I’d bet the frames are identical which means you could probably take the seat off and put the standard fenders and gas tank on. Call a dealer or Sherco and ask.

Ive worked on the Sherco version and yes you remove the trials tank and the longride seat/tank unit replaces the tank and sits over the existing seat. So to go from longride to trials you just need the trials tank. Less than a 5 minute job Edited April 21Apr 21 by faussy
June 9Jun 9 The small (trials style) tank that came with this bike does not fit very well as it extends deeper into the chassis and hits the solenoid and also pushes the cables tight underneath. So I just live with it in its intended config as a Long Ride. It's ultra quiet and perfect for idling around practicing balance! Edited June 9Jun 9 by PAULIE
June 9Jun 9 Author That is a nice picture. It looks like it has less ground clearance than standard trials bikes. Is the correct? The ground clearance looks a bit like a TL250 which I think is one or 1.5 inches less that most bikes.
