Lee ; I'm just curious what spark plug and gap you run on a 240 w/stock carb , and what other carbs do you know of that work well on the trusty 240's ???

Hi Glenn, I run stock champion L82C on all my 240s. Also the 243 engined bike runs this plug. The gap I set at 0,55mm. It works ok but I jet down to 95 or 96 on the main as i dont run on the road! ( I also use ELF full synthetic oil at 80:1 mix, which I also use on my GG300)

I have got one 240 fitted with a 26mm carb from a 300. it uses stock 300 jetting and seems to run ok on that! I think it also gives a little extra performance on the 240 engine. The 243 engined bike has a std 240 carb but is zippier (?) than the 240s as I have changed the ports and timing a little!
