Checking Fan

remove the two wires to the thermostat. somehow tie together. The fan should run constantly. If this works it should be the thermostat. If it does not run, try to push start the fan. Chances are it is the fan as with age they do quit. It could also be the stator or anything in between.

dont remove any wires just pull the clips off on your thermostat that the wires are connected to and then they attach together do that and put it back on one of the thermostat sides should stay on if its working.

That eliminates a thermostat failure which is the most common thing.

If the fan still does not work at this point, it may mean the fan motor is damaged, however it might also mean that the supply to the fan has been lost, perhaps simply the plug becoming disconected or a wire broken.

I take it you have checked to see that there is still water in the system?
