How the hell do you get the rear break pedal out ? I have removed the allen key bolt where the pedal pivots , the spring and plunger removed and then the pedal seems to be free . But can i hell as jiggle it out ! ;)

Is there a special technique ? Or is it a total dismemberment of the rear end ?

Forgot to say that the pedal is very slightly bent and i do mean very slightly.

All help greatly appreciated .

Cheers

  • 10 months later...

Just pulled the rear brake pedal off my 2004 Rev 3. This is what I did.

(1) Undo allen bold

(2) Remove brake rod clip & detach rod from pedal

(3) Remove chain spring slink & remove chain

(4) Joggle the rear pedal up & back and remove threaded bush from rear of pedal

(5) Pedal will not feed out forwards from frame

Worked for me.

I believe removal of swinging arm also works but sounds a bit more work.

Good luck.
