200 Ignition

Which way do I move the stator to retard the ignition, clockwise or anti-clockwise? Thanks for your help in advance guys.

line the mark up on the stator with the case. Moving it 1-2mm either way will make no difference at all!

Sorry lee but i beg to differ! sometimes my 200 would run backwards even doing so once whilst in a section,(other 200 owners also had same problem)altering the timing just slightly cured this and i definatly noticed the differance. Clockwise advances the ignition. I retarded it slightly, about a punch mark's differance it also took a bit of the sharpness off so i took it back a weeny bit! and its been fine since.
