Press release that has just arrived:
Cabestany Sherco Replica
One step closer to perfection
Sherco presents the new 2011 Cabestany Replica, this bike is a reproduction of the one that Albert Cabestany rode to second place in the recent Indoor Trials Championship and the one that he is riding in spectacular fashion in the Outdoor Championship.
Since its introduction in 2009 the revolutionary Sherco ST series has continued to receive steady updates and improvements, making it a very balanced and effective motorcycle. With the introduction of the Cabestany replica this constant attention to detail and ongoing evolutionary development has produced an outstanding motorcycle.
The elegant appearance of the Sherco Cabestany Replica hides the many design changes that have been adopted to give the Sherco rider every opportunity to become the number 1 rider.
The new bike uses Tech suspension units that are lighter and more efficient.
It also utilizes new billet triple clamps that allow a new “Cabestany” handlebar to be used.
As in the predecessor version, at the heart of the Sherco is a powerful 300 cc motor that utilizes a new cylinder head that is fed by a Keihin 28 mm carburetor.
Both the intake and exhaust ports have received minor tweaks. The airbox has received improvements that allow the air to flow more freely through the air filter and into the engine.
The exhaust header tube is made from titanium and is conical in shape close to the cylinder in order to facilitate the acceleration of the exhaust gas from the engine which improves its efficiency.
The slight improvements in the intake and exhaust system have allowed the CDI to be reprogrammed for increased efficiency and allow the engine to perform at higher RPM levels.
All of this together provides improved torque and power resulting in breath taking performance.
All of this without losing the driveability that characterizes Sherco motorcycles.
The bike also includes new wheels that allow the mounting of the new Michelin X-Light tires, the latest evolution from the French tire manufacturer.
The final touch is the new PVC graphics that have improved adhesion and are very scratch resistant.
Improvements in the new Sherco Cabestany Replica
- New Tech fork suspension units
- 300 cc motor fed by 28 mm Keihin carburetor
- Tapered titanium exhaust header pipe
- Redesigned Airbox
- Michelin X-light tires
- Cabestany Replica Handlebars
- Reprogrammed CDI

I thought I was onto something when I wanted to make front pipe more like the Evo.I was advised by one who shall remain nameless to learn how to ride it as it is. From the blurb can we know understand that Capacitor D.I. units are programmable? A decent shock and sorted out handlebar position sounds good.
